What gives you peace? A quiet evening at home with my husband.

Why Yoga? It makes me want to be a better person.

What / who inspires you? Books, Music, & My Mother.

What you can’t live without? Laughter & Hope.

Favorite yoga pose and why ? Virabhadrasana II – It enables me to feel strong, grounded & focused.

Favorite food? Pizza.

Words to live by (or your favorite quote): “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Best advice you’ve ever received (from who?): Never let the opinions & actions of others determine how you live your life….My Dad.

Words to describe your teaching style? Challenging, Articulate, Engaging.

What do you love to do for FUN? Dining out with family & friends, Spending an entire day relaxing with my husband.

When/where/with who was your first yoga class? I honestly don’t remember!

Local escape: The trails of Frick Park with Emma, our Labrador Retriever.

Michaelene was introduced to yoga during childhood, and has long maintained a regular practice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance from Point Park University, and has completed Yogafit Teacher Training Levels 1-3, in addition to her 200 hour RYT certification in the Baptiste Power Vinyasa tradition. She has also been fortunate enough to study with Sean Corne at the Kripalu Institute & at the Jivamukti School in New York City. She is currently a student at the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy, and plans to go into private practice following graduation.
