| Jayna fell in love with yoga in 2001 as a way to manage stress while working on Capitol Hill. In 2005, she began her journey toward completing her 200 hour Yoga Certification through YogaFit and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She has also studied with Baron Baptiste. Jayna provides a supportive environment in her classes and often reminds her students that “we call it yoga practice, not yoga perfect.” She also believes in the healing effects of yoga and its ability to strengthen the body-mind connection, which is also one of her research interests as a graduate student in philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University. When she isn’t doing yoga, researching, taking classes, or teaching classes, Jayna is running after her 2-year-old daughter who - by the way - is an excellent little yogi! |
