| Greg Karas is a devoted yoga practitioner who appreciates both the physical and spiritual sides of yoga. He is a nature lover at heart, enjoys walks or runs in the park, and the challenge of being present with each moment in life. Greg is an active member of the Open Door Community Church where he attends services and considers himself truly blessed by the love and support of his family and friends.
Greg has been practicing yoga since 1993 at multiple studios across Pittsburgh, but he regards Yoga on the Square as his ‘yoga headquarters.’ He initially came to yoga to mend tired, stiff muscles, joint pain, and inflexibility. Greg attributes his significantly increased overall health to his yoga practice.
Greg has a Level I YogaFit teacher certification. He attends an average of 8 classes per week of various levels and also enjoys a home practice. Greg is a valued member of his community and is often a silent force behind the scenes at Yoga on the Square and his church. Greg contributes greatly to keeping the studio clean, warm, and inviting as he mindfully creates a peaceful and welcoming environment for his fellow Yoga on the Square yogis. His advice to new and seasoned yogis: “If I can do this, you can too.”
